FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. WHat’s the difference between bouldering and climbing?

A. Bouldering is a type of climbing that is done without ropes or harnesses. It can be done indoors, in a gym like ours, or outdoors on natural rock walls. Though we always recommend a spotter or companion, bouldering can also be done solo, making it an ideal form of individualized strength-training and mental problem-solving.

Q. What should I wear to go bouldering?

A. We recommend wearing comfortable, breathable, non-constrictive clothing such as yoga pants, running shorts, moisture-wicking t-shirts and tank tops, to allow for easy movement as you make your way along the walls. We rent special shoes that allow you to better grip the holds on our climbing walls.

Q. is there anything else I should bring with me?

A. Bring a photo ID, a snack or two, and a bottle of water to stay hydrated in between climbs. You may want to bring a change of clothes, as bouldering can really work up a sweat! SUNRISE BOULDERING has water available to keep you fueled and fresh throughout your visit.
